Posted by Chin Ju’s face turned serious when he was about to start speaking, his dry mouth opened as two soft words wiggled their way out.
“I’m sorry.”
Anyone who knew Chin Ju could easily tell by looking at his face that he was truly regretful. Either due to his embarrassment, or shame he couldn’t look the girl in the eyes.
When he was apologizing he even brought his fist together while bending his head slightly. Trying to make his apology more sincere. He then raised his head, and looked at the girl while he once again repeated himself.
“I’m sorry.”
But, before all this the girl was standing there lifelessly with her yellow eyes wide open still in shock of seeing Chin Ju awaken so early, but like a sudden alarm that just went off, she heard something in the background. Her eyes then focused onto Chin Ju as she was now putting her full attention onto him.
‘I’m sorry’.
Those two words slowly came out of Chin Ju’s mouth as they were neither overbearing or quite. They blended in with the air making there way to the girls delicate ears. She stood there completely motionless without even the slightest response.
‘He’s sorry? What could he be sorry for? He just woke up, and we’ve been staring at each other for the past 5 minutes. Could he have said something while I was in shock, and I just didn’t hear him? No, it was only a split second that he said something, and I started paying attention. But, could it had been in that split second did he say something that he’s sorry for?’
She quickly thought to this point raising her head, and begun to speak in a confident voice. “It’s ok. I was expecting nothing more from you, so don’t be upset. I won’t even consider your apology.”
She was standing straight up with perfect posture while having her jade like skin arms crossed while not even sparing Chin Ju a glance. She thought that those couple words were good enough to keep Chin Ju happy.
“It doesn’t matter if you accept my apology or not. I thought it was the least I could give you right now.” Chin Ju looked at the girl one more time as he took a deep heavy breath, and tightened his fist.
“How many?”
Chin Ju’s face turned a little pale, and his fist were getting tighter by the second. While a cold sweat went down his back making the cave silence for a minute.
The beautiful girl finally gave a glance over to Chin Ju, and what she saw shocked her. Chin Ju’s eyebrows were knitted together making him look like he was in deep thought while his face was turning a little white.
“How many…How many of what?” The girl truly had no idea what Chin Ju was talking about.
‘Is he crazy! Why is he making random stuff up? First, he said sorry, and now it’s as if he’s delusional! Maybe it’s a side effect of what happened?’ She was standing there confused of what Chin Ju was saying.
But, from what Chin Ju could see it looked like her yellow eyes were looking down on him.
“How many years had passed while I was taking in the god body?”
Chin Ju spoke out once again he looked disappointed in himself. He couldn’t let the idea that he should have only taken year to fully absorb the god body, and the look that was in her eyes made his thoughts come true.
She must be looking down on him because of that. There was no doubt in his mind that he must have taken a long time for the god body to fully absorb.
‘Years? What does he mean by years?…..How many years did it take him?’ She was left speechless once again by Chin Ju, because she simply had no idea what he was talking about, but out of nowhere a sudden explosive anger came rushing from within her.
“Who do you think you are!?”
Chin Ju was taken aback by the sudden change of the girl. He watched as her normal calm, and pleasant demeanor slowly changed. Her eyebrows went in a V-shape, and the air around her felt like it was shaking.
“Let me ask again. WHO DO YOU THINK YOU ARE!?”
Chin Ju was in dazed from the sudden change, so he didn’t answer the first time, but hearing her again he was quick to answer this time.
“I am Chin Ju.”
He thought that it was weird for why she was asking again, but he saw no harm in answering her question.
“You mortal, YOU DARE THINK THIS IS A JOKE!?”
‘Why would she think I’m lying about my name? Maybe I have to be more direct with it?’
Chin Ju pointed at himself while raising his voice so maybe that the girl could hear him this time. “My name is Chin Ju, I am from the branch family of the Chin Sect. I promise on my ancestors that this is true.”
Chin Ju kept a very plain face while saying his name again, but the girl looked like she just ate something really bad making her face turned bright red.
“You think that I wouldn’t kill you where you stand? Did you honestly believe that you could brag in front of me, and make fun of me, and I wouldn’t care. A mortal like you to do that you must want to die today.” The air surrounding her turned even more intense as a feeling that Chin Ju has never felt before came to him. It was a feeling of pressure if he had to describe it, and the air became increasingly hard to breath or even to stand.
Chin Ju didn’t respond what the girl said, instead he bought his hand to his forehead and cracked a dry smile at her. Seeing the smile enrage the girl even further.
“You shall die today any last words!”
The girls eyes turned sharp like they were piercing into Chin Ju, and her cheeks on her face turned red like a tomato with anger.
“I think there’s been a misunderstanding.” Chin Ju looked at the girl awkwardly as he was rubbing his hand against his head, and was holding his other hand up.
“And what would that be?” The girl said with anger still rolling through her body.
“It was never in my attention to make you mad. I was merely wondering how long did it take me to absorb…” Chin Ju was talking until the air around the girl once again started to turn wild as it was bending non-stop.
“Think just because a mortal like you could take the god body in a day that gives you the right to brag to me like this. If it weren’t for that I needed you alive for me to use you; you would already be dead in a miserable way.” The girl was furious.
“Impossible!” Chin Ju took a step back while he was shaking his head no.
The air that was around the girl turned even more serious as it looked like it was ready to shred Chin Ju into tiny pieces. She looked like she was on her last straw while looking at Chin Ju.
“You think I won’t!”
“No you said that I only took a day to take in the god body, but to me it felt like 6 to 10 years had already passed.” Chin Ju was standing in place as he was thinking about the last 24 hours he just went through. Thinking about it even sent chills down Chin Ju’s back.
‘Impossible years have passed! But why would she lie to me, their serves no purpose in lying. Then if she’s not lying then does that mean that it was all in my head?’ Chin Ju really couldn’t believe that he took the god body within a day. To him it really had felt like years passed, and each second of it was excruciating pain, but to say that was all in a day was just crazy.
“You dare think this goddess would lie to you! I swear if all mortal are stupid as you than I got a long trip in front of me.” The air that was around the girl once again calmed down.
“No you don’t understand it felt like an eternity when I was taking in the god body. I thought that years had already passed as the pain came to me in waves. I could feel the small changes in my body while going through the waves some felt like tearing, melting, choking, head splitting, and some was pain that can’t be described. They were all in stages skin, muscle, inner organs, bones, and even the brain. All of it brought different amounts of pains which all had years for each level.”
“I thought for sure that I had already passed the deadline for a year, and that 6 to 10 years already passed. That’s why I said sorry twice, one for failing the limit for the year and second for taking even longer to a point to 5 years.” Goosebumps went down Chin Ju’s arms while he was thinking about the past.
“You think that years had passed? It’s only been a day! A whole day that you started, and your body already accepted the god body. Master told me at shortest it would take is a year, and at longest it would take 10 to 30 years.”
She was looking at his body intensely from bottom to up, but she soon came to a stop with a thought in mind. When Chin Ju first got done with the god body at first she thought that he was a monster, but when he finished in a day it sent her into a daze. Thinking more she hasn’t even thought of the consequences of taking it in a day. Now that she thought about it, he might only have taken 20% to 25%.
“Come here I have to check something.”
The girl pointed at a spot that was in front of her as Chin Ju took five steps forward. The girl then raised her smooth delicate hand to Chin Ju making a little string of cultivation go towards Chin Ju’s forehead. A minute passed, and soon the string came out from where it went in from.
‘Impossible, I checked three times just to make sure, and every time it came out like this! How…How is this even possible…I’ve never heard anything like this.’
“Your body has…” She took a deep breath as her yellow eyes were wide open to the point they couldn’t open anymore, “Your body…your body it has fully absorb the god body by a 100%.”
‘I knew it! You are a monster!’ All the past things she thought about Chin Ju started to come up again.
Chin Ju just looked at her confused still not saying anything. ‘He doesn’t even know how great this is for him.’
“Listen closely, because I won’t explain this again, the god body is different for everyone with the powers they behold. But they all share one thing in common, and that is the ruling power. Meaning they are dragons amongst all of their peers. No, it would be more accurate to say that their gods against their peers.”
“They will almost always rain superior when their grow. When born into the world, people come from all over to visit them in hopes that they can befriend there family or them. God bodies always bring power, and prestige to whom they belong. But most of the time they only unlock 20% to 55% of their god body. With how your god body is right now you unlocked 0.0005% of it, and you absorbed all of the god body making you able to fully use up to 100%.” Chin Ju looked down and brought his hand forward.
He closed his eyes as a new feeling came to him, something that he has never felt before. A sudden rush went through his body as he pointed his finger out. He focused hard as a string of cultivation came out of his finger. Chin Ju smiled that went to ear to ear across his face.
Chin Ju raised his hand intensely looking at it, the smile that went ear to ear somehow got even bigger. He wasn’t smiling, because he can now martial cultivate, but because he now has the power to get stronger the harder he works.
