He made some of the wood hold the meat over the fire while he took care of the rest of the remaining pile. After about 30min past he thought the meat was ready to eat. Taking his first bite into it filled his mouth with a nasty taste, but he also felt a little refreshed from it. It had a bit of a burning feeling inside him, but he assumed that he cooked the food badly.
He thought about spitting it out, but besides this he had nothing else to eat. Continually, he took bites out of the meat until all that was left was the bones. Taking the last bone he had he throw it into the fire.
“All done.” He then put out the fire and walked inside to find the broad shoulder guy. While he was walking he couldn’t help to watch the people on the right side as they were cutting the meat with such precise and strong cuts.
He then looked to his left as a dozen of people were preparing the meal. They would be burning it over a fire or throwing some type of seasoning over the meat. Giving the work station a blast of smell and flavor in the air. Just walking by them Chin Ju’s mouth was watering up, and there were far less people preparing then there were people cutting the pieces.
Chin Ju thought that was understandable because the time it took to cut the beast took way longer then it did to cook it and prepare it. Beast are know for their resistant bodies even cutting them is a hard task he couldn’t even imagen what it would be like to take on a beast.
The wolfs that he fought were not even consider beast they were just regular animals. For a beast to be categories as a beast they need to at least have some cultivation, and they are normally two levels above their cultivation.
Finally walking around Chin Ju found broad shoulder guy as he was cutting up a meat, and at the speed he was going had to be at least three times as fast as everyone he’s seen so far. His craft work could leave even a artist to shocked. He moved the knife like it was his brush and the meat was the paper.
Chin Ju stayed still and watched his crafts work; not wanting to mess him up. Finally after about 1 hour had past he finished his work as he lightly placed his knife down, and turned around to find someone to start cooking it.
But when he turned around he was surprise to meet Chin Ju, ‘He cant be done already can he?’
“What are you doing over here? Shouldn’t you be working in the back?” The broad shoulder guy thought that perhaps that he was taking a break and walking around in his kitchen site seeing.
“Junior, has finished with everything and came over here to collected his things, but I didn’t want to disturb you, so I waited tell you were done.” The broad shoulder guy eyes went a little wide. ‘There’s no way he’s done. The last eight guys would take the whole day sometime even longer.’
He walked past Chin Ju and went to were the pile was. He was shocked to see that it was almost completely gone. Of course people are still working so it’s still growing, but he could still see that at one point it was all gone.
He reached to his back pocket brought out a brown pouch placing it into Chin Ju hand. “Here.”
Chin Ju smile as he looked inside of it seeing 28 grams of Martial Grass Flakes, “I’ll be returning here in two days from now, tomorrow ill be going through the Soul Ortation Array.”
“Oh.. Are you new to the Soul Dividing School?” The broad shoulder man thought that maybe Chin Ju either had to be really low in his rank or he hasn’t got ranked yet. Why else would he be working in here, this is probably one of the lowest jobs he can get or is the lowest. Working in the kitchen has always been looked down upon from others.
“Yes, I came in yesterday.” Chin Ju said.
“Hahaha.. Just came in yesterday and is already trying to cultivate. Good! Keep that up, and you’ll do great. Come back and ill treat you good. No matter what your placement is.” He said this because he didn’t want to lose Chin Ju. Normal if someone gets placed high enough they would quite this job.
That was Chin Ju first plan, but now working and seeing all this he decided that he’ll keep working here no matter what. He wanted to keep learning from here as long as it doesn’t take to much from him.
Chin Ju thanked the board shoulder guy, leaving to go back to the Soul Slums. Getting back into his room it was already night, but the excitement of reaching the second level of Earth realm was to great. He brought out his pouch and took out the Martial Grass Flakes, and like last time he sat on the bed with Martial Grass Flakes in his right hand.
He then started to focus on resolving his cultivation throughout his body tell it all pin pointed to his right hand. Slowly the cultivation that was in the Martial Grass Flakes transfer to his hand to slowly work its way to his dantian. After about three minutes he had finished as the 28 grams of Martial Grass Flakes was all wither away turning brown in the transaction.
Chin Ju frowned his cultivation only raisin a little compare to before. Right now he’s about 2/4 of the way from reaching the second level of Earth realm. He should at least be a step away from second level of Earth realm.
“It seems that the second time around was not as effective as it only took me two minutes less from last time.” Chin Ju left it at that and went to sleep. Depending on how well Chin Ju does on his rank tomorrow well decided on how much recourse’s he’ll get from it.
…
Its the morning as a couple of tens of thousand people were standing around outside with three Soul Ortation Array in front of them. They were shining with a barely recognizable yellow and on the outside of them, while there was a hundred circles for each Soul Ortation Array. In the middle of the three Soul Ortation Array was a huge board that had rankings that went all the way to 60,000.
“Is this your first time to?” Within the crowed of people a voice that could barely be heard spoke out. He was a fat person with nice clothes making him look like a merchant. He was not tall nor small he was even barely noticeable.
Chin Ju shook his head yes.
“My name is Mu Tu, nice to meet you.” Mu Tu put out his clammy hand to shake Chin Ju’s hand.
“My name is Chin Ju, nice to meet you to.” Chin Ju also put out his hand and shake it.
“Listen up I wont be repeating myself.” Before Chin Ju and Mu Tu could keep talking a person was standing on top of a platform talking loud enough were everyone could hear him.
“The Soul Ortation Array is were you’ll be tested on your rank and to find your rank you can look up on the board. Higher your rank bigger your name well be and if you cant even see your name don’t worry its up there, but you ranked so low that you cant even see it. Just know if you cant see it then its probably below 35,000. At that time you will be receiving Martial Grass Flakes and above the 35,000 you’ll get half Martial Grass and so on.”
Chin Ju was amazed for him to get Martial Grass Flakes he has to work all day just to get 28 grams. That’s not even 1/16 of the whole thing, and for the Soul Dividing School to be giving out Martial Grass Flakes to so many people how was that possible were they particle living on it.
“The Soul Ortation Array will rank you when you sit in the circle and we active it. You well then be sent to fight a series of animals and beast. One animal is gives you one point, and if you fight a beast that is at a cultivation of the first level of Earth Realm you get ten points. For every level that you fight against a beast additional ten points well be added.”
“Three hundred at a time may come up and get tested. Just sit inside one of the circles that’s outside of the Soul Ortation Array.” After the person got done talking the three hundred spots quickly got taken, and in front of Chin Ju there were still couple hundred of people in front of him. He was in no hurry so this well probably take awhile.
Chin Ju looked around him and notice that Mu Tu was already working his way toward Soul Ortation Array’s.
“I guess he cant wait.” Chin Ju stayed in his spot until it was his turn to move up. Taking almost all day to reach the Soul Ortation Array’s as it was already noon.
Walking up to the Soul Ortation Array’s Chin Ju could feel something from the Soul Ortation Array’s that he never felt before. He look down looking at the yellow symbols that surrounded him. He was amazed that these symbols could rank everyone that was here. Every time someone got done getting tested they would turn pile white. Some would even pass out from the Soul Ortation Array as their rank’s then would be put onto the board.
Chin Ju watched numerous time as this happened, and now it was Chin Ju turn to experience first hand what this Soul Ortation Array does. He’s been told that the Soul Ortation Array makes a copy of yourself and sends you into the Soul Ortation Array were then you fight tell you die, or that it sends apart of your soul to fight in the Soul Ortation Array. He even hear that it makes a separate world from this one and transfers the mind there.
Chin Ju sat down within the Soul Ortation Array sprite circle waiting for it to start up. He had waited for a full 20 minutes before anything happened until a yellow dem light started to circle around him. He looked toward the other participants that were around him. It seemed that none of them were seeing anything as they were all acting normal as before. He then looked toward the people in the crowd that were showing the same reaction, but when he was watching earlier this yellow light didn’t show, so why does it with him?
