Chapter 15: Ranking

Chin Ju and Mu Tu waited for the worker to return, until after thirty-minutes had passed she came back with two papers with her. Holding both within her hands, she gave one of them to Chin Ju and the other to Mu Tu.

“These are called report cards. We get them when you completely the Soul Ortation Array. After you see your ranking, and the testing is over we will be handing out the rewards. They will be delivered to you directly if you don’t come by to pick them up in the first two weeks. Further information will be given out when receiving your first reward. If you have any questions don’t be scared to ask, just come back to the Dividing Hall.” She then walked away going to the next people she can find to help.

“Young Chin Ju, I need to go somewhere, so I think that we should open are report cards here and in the future we will feast.” Mu Tu then opened his report card and written on it was 70,001.

‘He’s almost in the 60,000! Wow, how did that happen?’ Appearance can be deserving Chin Ju thought. He looked up and down Mu Tu wondering what his cultivation is, but he didn’t want to ask thinking it would be rude.

Chin Ju then opened up his report card inside was 70,000. He was shocked to see this, because all he beat was the four wolf’s and the Armor Flex that was it.

“Hahaha..Looks like young Chin Ju beat me. Looks like I owe you a good dinner, and that’s funny we both were just short of 60,000.” Mu Tu said with a joyest smile.

“So, it seems.” Chin Ju smiled awkwardly to be truthful Chin Ju didn’t think he would be anywhere near were he was now, so he was pretty happy with the results.

“I’ll take you to Dragons Taste two weeks from now. I heard its one of the best restaurant within the Soul Dividing School.” Mu Tu mouth started to water. He turly was looking forward to it. Chin Ju would say that he worked there, but truthful he wasnt the one buying. Plus he actully has never eaten anything there. He has only been working there for a day.

Before Mu Tu left Chin Ju told him where he could find him, and with that they both said there good byes and left.

Chin Ju went home to the Soul Slumps. He went to his bed and rested his eyes, but he wasn’t sleeping he was thinking of the past battle. He was replying the same scene over and over again. After thinking about it over an couple of hours he finally closed his eyes and went to bed.

…..

Waking up Chin Ju grabbed the clothes that Qing Shan gave him. They were to big for him to use so he thought he would exchange them for clothes that were in his size. He put them back into a laundry bag and went along his way. He decided that the Divided City was to high in materials, and that the odds of him exchanging them aren’t as good. Luckily though while walking around with his brother, Chin Ju remembered a place that his brother mention called Lucky Clove.

It was a small business with a fair amount of people going to it, and his brother said that they have good deals with good materials.

After searching for awhile Chin Ju found the place it was hidden well between two other buildings, it also had a tree that cover half the shop as it wasn’t that big to began with. The only way Chin Ju could find their shop was from asking so much.

Stepping into Lucky Clove, the old lady was the first thing Chin Ju saw. She was behind a counter combining two piece of clothing together, as they laid out in front of her. Weaving it in and out of the clothing attaching the two together to make a whole.

He then laid his eyes on the clothes that were in the store. Like his brother said they all looked really well made to Chin Ju. He went to the nearest clothing that was by him. All of which the material looked good. Chin Ju was impress so far, so he went up to the old lady, and laid out the clothes that Qing Shan gave him.

“I wish to exchange these if I can.” Chin Ju was barely able to see over the counter, while the old lady put down everything to see what Chin Ju had.

She first picked up the clothing, and then looked at Chin Ju saying, “Follow me.”

“Pick three shirts and three pants.” She then led Chin Ju to part of the store where there was clothing in his size. Chin Ju in the bag had five shirts with four pants so he thought this was fair. Chin Ju grabbed the three he liked out of them and thanked the old woman.

…..

Chin Ju returned to his room dropping off the clothing, but while putting his clothes away he found the white envelope with a red crust on it that Qing Yan gave to him. He opened the red crust envelope which inside was a invite to their sect a month from now. If the time allowed it Chin Ju thought that he would go.

Chin Ju then went to the Dragons Taste Restaurant, and thanks for last time he already had a system. This time the time it took him to clean up the pile was reduce to half the time. Like before when he finished he would grab the parts he could cook onto a stick.

This time however watching the people cook Chin Ju thought that he would try it. He grabbed the meat and instead of just setting the sticks to hold the meat Chin Ju thought that he would make it were he could turn the meat around for the fire to hit it. Using this tactic he would cook the whole meat instead of just one side.

After about 30min passed he thought the meat was ready to eat. Taking his first bite into it was already better than last time. It had a bit of a burning feeling inside him just like last time too, but he assumed that he cooked the food badly once again.  When he first did this he realized that half the meat was burnt while the other was cold and almost gross from it being almost raw. This time however the outside of the meat was all cooked a little to much for Chin Ju, but it was still better than last.

However when reaching the middle of the meat it was cold. Chin Ju thinks that the meat itself is to thick making it more difficult for the heat to go through. Chin Ju thought about it until finally a idea came to him he throw the piece he just cooked into the fire.

He grabbed another piece of meat that he had, but this time he took one of the tools for cutting and poked it into the meat. It was hard for Chin Ju to penetrate the meat taking him hour just to poke five holes into the meat. Sweat even started to fall down Chin Ju as this was exhausting.

He repeated the processes he did last time, but instead of cooking it 30 minutes he went for 25 minutes this time. Taking a bite into it his insides started to burn madly like he just bit into lava. Chin Ju looked back at the meat and realized that it was barely cooked. He was even struggling to even chew the meat.

He then thought about it. Its a collection of meat, its not just one beast animal but multiple. It would make since if some are stronger than others, making there body more tougher and have more resistance toward the fire.

Chin Ju thought about it there really is so much time in the day and he didn’t want to spend it cooking, but thinking about it; it is only barely noon. He decided to cook this meat one more time. He put it back into the fire but instead of hovering the meat like before he decided to put most of into it. He wasn’t trying to get rid of it but cook it really fast.

He still turned it around like before doing this tell he saw a crisp black. Not all over just in spots. This time Chin Ju didn’t take such a huge bit. He took his tool for cutting and cut a slice off. It was hard as the meat is still resistant but hacking at it for ten minute Chin Ju finally managed.

He took the bit and ate it. The feeling of the burning came back to him as if he was eating lava. ‘How can I get rid of this feeling? Am I that bad of a cook?’

Chin Ju couldn’t help to think that, but saying all that the meat was much better. If anything it was full of flavor every part was cooked. Not to perfection but enough so that there wasn’t any cold spots anymore. To be honest this had to be the best thing that Chin Ju has ever had. He would take the time to cook more, but it really did take to much time in his day so he decided that he would leave it here.

Chin Ju went to the broad shoulder guy and told him he finished his job. Once again the broad shoulder guy gave him 28 grams of Martial Grass Flakes. Broad shoulder guy smiled as he was happy to see that Chin Ju came back.

Chin Ju said his goodbyes and left.

Leaving however, Chin Ju didn’t return back to his room instead he took the Martial Grass Flakes and went to the training halls of the Soul Dividing School. His brother was talking the most about the Soul Dividing School training halls non-stop. He even mentioned something about special rooms but his brother didn’t go much into detail about them as he didn’t use them much himself.

After the fight with the Armor Flex Chin Ju quickly realized he was missing something. Chin Ju wanted to see if this place could help with his fighting style or perhaps it could help Chin Ju with speed. To be more honest Chin Ju doesn’t really know, but seeing couldn’t hurt anything.

Chin Ju arrived at the place and he was shocked to see that it was huge, bigger than any building he’s seen so far. There had to be as much people at Dividing Hall, yet here it seemed insignificant for how many people there were because the place towered over them.
