Chin Ju arrived at the place and he was shocked to see that it was huge, bigger than any building he’s seen so far. There had to be just as much as Dividing Hall here, yet it seemed insignificant for how many people there were because the place towered over them.
Going into the building there were people behind a counter to ask where you wanted to go, but since Chin Ju has never been here before and also had no clue what he was looking for. He thought he would ask them directly.
“Is there anything here that I can do to help with my cultivation for free, without using points?” Chin Ju asked.
The person behind the counter looked at Chin Ju looking up and down frowning to see that it was a little boy saying. “Go away! This is not a place to play at.” The person behind the counter went back to work just saying those couple of words.
“Sorry, but I’m not here to play, I’m just asking if there’s anything to help with my cultivation.” Chin Ju asked again.
“Look kid, if you want to do something for free there’s classes you can go to, rooms for practicing your moves, skill manuals, and sparring. If you want any other things your going to pay, but I think you cant.” The person behind the counter looked irritated.
“I would like to go to the classes are there any right now?” Chin Ju thought that perhaps by going to someone who already knows what they are doing they could maybe direct Chin Ju.
“One already started. They are a no name teacher, so if you go to your left and go down that hall and take another left you will be there. Now hurry and stop wasting my time.” The person pointed the direction. Chin Ju would normally say something, but he thought it was a waste of time.
Going in the direction the person pointed he soon found the class. The instructor was wearing a purple clothing with some symbols on them. Chin Ju entered while he was in the middle of his lesson.
Chin Ju looked around and saw that there was only a couple of people within the room. Counting the instructor and Chin Ju there was ten people in total. This was kind of a let down for Chin Ju, he thought that it would be packed.
He found a place to seat and started to listen, but while listening he quickly felt something was off. He didn’t know what, but what the teacher was saying, Chin Ju felt it would do more harm then good. I guess you could call it intuition.
Chin Ju went back to the desk and found the same lady. “Can you tell me where the skill manuals are?”
‘Are you kidding. He’s back. Does he think that this is a get together?’ The lady couldn’t believe the kid.
“Look kid leave me alone I don’t have time to play around with you!” The lady once again said while she was organizing some papers around. She clearly wasn’t trying to give Chin Ju time of day.
“Maybe what I’m saying is incomprehensible for you, but let me repeat myself. Where are the skill manuals?” Chin Ju had a smirk on his face while the lady face was turning all red.
She pointed her finger, “The skill manuals are down to your right then take a left to then take another right. You are only allowed to take one skill manual. Since your taking one of the free once. Someone will be down there to take your name and what skill manual you should maybe get. See I’m not Incomprhensible, now next time I would be more careful what you say.”
However Chin Ju didn’t say anything using the instruction the lady gave him he left. The lady felt even more irritated that he didn’t even spar her a word.
Entering the skill manuals place, the place seemed so opened up. There were manuals all over the place that would hold them on shelfs that seemed to just be packed to the brim. Chin Ju took one step into the place before a voice briefly stopped him.
“What is your name?” It was an old man sitting in an old wooden chair that rocked back and fourth. He was marked with blemishes and age spots. He was even talking to Chin Ju with his eyes closed not even sparing a glance.
“This disciple name is Chin Ju.” Chin Ju quickly replied.
“Choose one and report back. You cant go upstairs unless you pay or have permission.” The old man said.
“I understand.” Chin Ju then left on the search for the manual he was going to look for.
However while looking Chin Ju then begin why this place is so packed where ever you go. They are all the same manuals, just copies of them. Ten Step Flash, Piercing Sword, Fortress Spear, Iron Fist, and Arrow Flash. Thats it just copies of those manual and nothing else.
Flipping through them all Chin Ju begun to read a bit into them.
Ten Step Flash-A movement speed that enables to move to one place in a blink of a eye in only seven steps.
Piercing Sword-A fatal strike that is a one time use. Gathering the cultivation on to the tip of the sword to then unleash it onto the enemy.
Fortress Spear-A stance that is like a fortress. Hard to get past for anyone trying to attack you.
Iron Fist-Make your fist as tough as Iron that can easily penetrant through the most basic armor.
Arrow Flash-Release an arrow as if it was a Flash blinding the enemy.
Chin Ju was flipping through them, and to him they all seemed basic. Even with that the case he still thought that he would try them out. He narrowed it down to the Ten Step Flash or the Iron Fist. He decided as of right now the other are useless to the current him as he had no points or anything in value to really purchase a good weapon.
So he started to think back, to the fight with Lan Xai. He was extremely fast and the only way Chin Ju could beat him was by catching in mid-air were he couldn’t move. With the Ten Step Flash it would go great against him, because next time Chin Ju think that the same tactic wouldn’t work twice.
However with the fight with the Armor Flex he struggled with power and had to resort to running around until he had a weapon to fight it. Chin Ju was looking at it even though the Armor Flex was strong, against the Iron Fist he probably resort to that tactic either.
However, Chin Ju also thought that he would could not narrowed it down to just these couple of enemy’s. He will have to fight more as time passes so he also had to take that into account. So the truth of the matter is which one would be more useful. After thinking about it for couple of minutes Chin Ju made up his mind.
Chin Ju grabbed the Ten Step Flash. He went back to the old man on the wooden chair, and showed him the book. The old man just nodded his head.
“Return the Ten Step Flash manual in one month. If you wish to keep using it then come back and show me.” The old man words were easy to hear, having no cracks, or shortness of breath.
Leaving Chin Ju didn’t return back to his house, but instead went to one of the training rooms. The training room was about the same size as his room in the soul slumps, but maybe a little bigger. Inside the training room had a wooded dummy to punch that had a clear white diamond above.
Chin Ju didn’t know what the diamond did, but he didn’t have enough time to find out. He sat the manual down onto the ground while he begun to read it.
When doing the Ten Step Flash make the wind carry your foot to send it foward. Afterwards when lifting your foot have the back end carry the voilacety to push off like a wall.
Use your hands like knifes to cut the air, to direct yourself through the wind draft.
After reading it for awhile the manual summed it up like this so Chin Ju begun. He took his foot and ran forward using as much velocity as possible.
“Bang”
Chin Ju slammed into the wall making an hard crash as a loud bang came out of it. He shacked off the impact and did it once again.
“Bang”
and again.
“Bang”
and again.
“Bang”
He kept repeating this over and over and over again. In this prosses he found out what the diamine does. When you hit the wooded dummy it show a color in the diamine above. Chin Ju had a red color show when he hit and the wooded dummy came apart. Chin Ju freaked out that he broke it at first, but Chin Ju was in an hurry so he thought he would bother with it later.
However not even an hour passed until the wooded dummy came back together. Chin Ju was shocked he thought for sure it was broken. To his surprise the wooded dummy could break and then self repair. Thinking about it this must be an producet of an spirits.
‘They really are amazing I cant wait to meet one.’ Once again they cant stop, but amazing Chin Ju. They really are mysteries in there own rights.
Chin Ju kept on practicing until finally his body couldn’t take anymore. He clasped onto the floor breathing heavily trying to grasp the air.
‘I think that’s enough for one day.’ Chin Ju then got up and left the room. Dragging his body to the Soul Slumps. When he reached outside it was already the next day in an little before the afternoon. Chin Ju didn’t know that he spent the whole night in there. He even spent the morning in there too. Chin Ju didn’t mind though he went to his room and took out the 28 grams of Martial Grass Flakes that he got at Dragons Taste Restaurant.
He did the same thing he did last time putting the Martial Grass Flakes in the middle of his palm. Martial Grass Flakes all wither away like normal leaving nothing behind.
Chin Ju frowned his cultivation only raisin a little above 2/4 of the way from reaching the second level of Earth realm. He had at least raised to 3/4 but it seems that its having less effects on Chin Ju every time he uses them.
It seems I’m going have to think of more ways to get stronger. Chin Ju sat on his bed thinking to himself wondering of what he could do. Until a quick idea went to him. He nodded his idea and decided that tomorrow he’s going to act on it.
Chin Ju went to Dragons Taste Restaurant and did his daily job getting Martial Grass Flakes and ate his daily meal there. However Chin Ju did something different this time instead of just choosing random meats to cook he would first try cutting into it and remembering all the tendons of the beast and muscles. Chin Ju does study medicine, and he does know the human body, so how different can a beast be to a human.
Leaving the place he saw someone about to through away a got a pot. He decided to grab it so that maybe he could try cooking with it. After all this Chin Ju went back to his room and went to bed getting ready for the next day.
