Posted by Stomp Stomp. As footsteps hits the ground of the forest floor. The roots on the floor are twisted and everywhere ,as I run around the forest hiding. But what from? I hear footsteps be hide me as I run. They’re gaining on me. Then I trip over roots of the tree’s around. In a blink of an eye I was on the cold, wet, hard floor of the forest. I remember the moment I blacked out. It was lonely and very dark. No one was there to comfort me. I was alone ,but as I laid there not able to move a muscle. I heard footsteps come close to me. I heard them talking ,but I was not able to make out words.
“Sir, she has blacked out and looks like she took a big hit to the head ,sir” ,said the Man trying to wake her up.
The Hooded Person walks closer to her. “Looks like she will have amnesia for the time being.”
“What do you want me to do ,sir? Should I mount her on the horse ,sir?” ,said the Man
“Leave her. We don’t need her now. We should leave now before people come, but I want eyes on her at ALL times” ,said The Hooded Person.
“Yes ,sir” ,said the man as The Hooded Person got on their horse.
As they left the noise left with them. All I heard was the deers moving around ,and nuts being thrown at the floor. Ages seemed to past, but my guess was that I was there for a few minutes. But those minutes felt like hours pasting maybe months. As I was there on the floor I heard footsteps again.
“Are they back?” ,I thought to myself
The footsteps got louder and louder as the came near me. As they got closer I could tell ,they were coming from a different direction. Then the people that were here before.
“How much longer are we going to keep walking?” ,said a soft voice
“Until we find food for the Village.” ,said a deeper voice.
As the walked tearing threw the trees. They saw a girl on the floor unconscious. She looked cold, uncomfortable, and hungry. They walked over to the girl.
“What are we going to do with her?” ,said the soft voice.
“We’ll carry her back to the village.” ,said the deep voice.
“Do we have to?” ,said the soft voice.
“Go job ,Aidoneus, you just signed yourself up to carry her.” ,he said in a sarcastic.
“Man!” ,said Aidoneus in an irritated tone.
As I felt my body being picked up from the floor ,into the air with arms around me. I heard their voices talking, still not able to make out words. But on the plus side, I was not alone anymore. As they walked and talked I felt less of a loner.
“What are we going to do with the girl? Also what are we going to do about the food problem?” ,said Aidoneus trying to not drop the girl in his arms.
“Well I don’t know about the girl, but the food problem. Hm… maybe we can ask a neighboring Village.” ,said the deep voice.
“Did you forget Coro? Every Village is having some type of problem, whether it’s famine, drought or the land is failing. Something is going wrong in every village. NO ONE’S magic or inheritances is working to help the land, the drought, and soil.” ,said Aidoneus moving side to side ,so he wouldn’t trip of the tree roots.
“Yeah I did forget. It’s just somethings is throwing the balance off. Like some one or something went off the the scale of balance. Maybe the fallen kingdom area is restored?” ,said Coro looking at the nature around them.
“Maybe. But the walk there is a least three to four days of walking. Plus the villages in between the kingdom grounds and the Village. Also, only a certain breed or gods/goddesses are allowed in the villages.” ,said Aidoneus with an irritated tone.
“Man!!! I keep forgetting stuff today.” ,said Coro hitting his hand to his head.
As Coro and Aidoneus walk up the fence of the Village. They see kids playing in the flower fields. The kids are playing tag or hide n seek in the flower fields that were tall. As they continue to walk in the village ,Coro and Aidoneus walk past the worn out houses.
“We should fix these some time. They need to be repainted or rebuilt.” ,said Coro as they look at the houses.
“Yeah we should! Maybe we should ask Leo to do it? I mean for one it would be funny ,and two we’ll see him fall off a roof or two.” ,said Aidoneus laughing at the thought of it.
“Yeah. Yeah. Not like you guys made me do that 5 years ago. I mean…..I fell off three roofs I think. I also got a broken arm after the third one. Anyways who the maiden in your arms?” ,said Leo with a mad look.
“Well….we don’t know. We found her when we were looking for food.” ,said Coro
“Does she have any wounds or anything wrong with her?” ,said Leo looking at her arms and legs.
“I don’t think so. I’ll ask Neve to look at her.” ,said Aidoneus.
They start walking towards the guard tower again. As they are walking the stones on path start to have a moss look to them. Then they come to a building in front of them. It was a tall building with a pointed top. They enter the tall pointed building. When they enter they’re greeted by stairs that lead to the top of the building.
“Man! Do I have to carry her up the stairs to?” ,said Aidoneus with a tired look on his face.
“I’ll carry her up, but you two have to come with me.” ,said Leo grabbing the girl from Aidoneus arms.
Aidoneus fell to the floor because his arm’s had fell asleep ,and because the weight of her had been lifted on his arms. “Man you’re a life saver you know that.” ,said Aidoneus on getting off the floor.
“You know sometimes I wonder if you are a viper.” ,said Coro in a joking voice.
“Yeah. Yeah. Call out the WereWolf” ,said Aidoneus joking around too.
“Come on. We don’t have all day. Plus I agree with Coro.” ,said Leo as the star heading up.
“HEY!!! I’m not that bad. What….am I?” ,said Aidoneus chasing after them.
It took them about five minutes to reach the very top of the top floor. Once they got to the top. They put the girl they found down on the hay bed that was up there. Then they look over to see a girl asleep sitting in the chair next to the hay bed.
“Hey Neve. Wake up. Wake up, Neve! WAKE UP, NEVE” ,said Leo shaking her.
“I CLEANED THE HOUSE, MOM” ,said Neve surprised as she fell out the chair.
The boys laugh at her as she got off the floor. “What do you guys need.” ,she said still have asleep.
“We need you to check her wounds.” ,said Aidoneus pointing at the girl unconscious.
“Well sure! Who is she?” ,Neve said walking over to the girl.
“Well………we don’t who she is. Me and Aidoneus found her in the forest. We saw she that has zero inheritance on her and we were hoping that you could tell us what her god/goddess, powers, or species is.” ,said Coro watching Neve looking at the girls arms and legs.
“Well…..first off she has a few deep cuts. Second off from her hair and that she has no ears, tail, scales, or horns. I think she human. Tho about her god/goddess I don’t think she has one. And her powers well…..she looks weak.” ,Neve said worried for the poor girl.
“Well ok. Tonight we should stay here if that’s the case.” ,said Leo as they nod their heads in agreement.
Coro leaves to go get blankets and pillows for them to stay the night in the guard tower. It wasn’t uncommon for Neve, Coro, Leo, to sleep at the guards tower. The only reason is because they’re guards.
“Sooo……about the lord. He’s been missing for five months and nobody will step up. So…um Coro you should take it” ,said Aidoneus trying to make conversation.
“We’ve be over this. I don’t want the position.” ,said Coro trying to push the topic aside.
“Ok. Then let’s talk about the girl. Who do you think she is?” ,says Neve trying to change the topic.
“Who knows. We’ll see in the morning. Anyway going to see in the morning.” ,Leo said as he was lying down on the hard wooden floor.
They all laid down and fall asleep ,but little to do they know they are being watched by The Hooded Person’s guard.
“Sir, we have found the girl she in a guard tower in a village, but we don’t know which, sir.” ,said the Hooded Person’s guard.
“Hm…..that’s ok. Now I want you to find out the village’s name ,and to find out the guards there.” ,said The Hood Person.
“Yes ,sir” ,said The Hooded Person’s guard as he was leaving.
