Chapter 4: The last two!

“SCREECCHHH.”

Before the metal door was screaming, but now was as if it was the beacon that everything was about to begin.

……..

“Now everyone if you are ready, we shall begin the grand-opening premier. Choose an area where you can watch them fight, and yes there are several cameras. So, if you wish to re-watch this fight you can, or show whomever you want. While we watch the fights I’ll be explaining there treatments and what that might include.” Everyone’s excitement seemed to boil over Doctor Shiro Ishii’s words waiting for the next moments.

Doctor Shiro Ishii’s once again hopped back onto the speaker not delaying such a good mood everyone’s having, with the red bottom by his side.

……..

“Welcome, welcome this room is the final room most of you will ever be in. Saying that ready stance!” Doctor Shiro Ishii’s voice got loud and lively at the end, but no one cover their ears. Instead, they all got distance from each other making no room for a blind spot. Only Sho and Hiroto stayed together when they separated from the remaining group. Everyone else was on an island by themselves several feet from the next kid.

Sho and Hiroto hurried over to one of the corners of the room directing themselves in the tree biome. Going away from the weapons rack Sho noticed that the dirt path is already reappearing while the wall of weapons was going back into the ground.

“Good, this final treatment is really easy. Everyone looks to the right and left.” Like he said the children that were spread apart looked to their left and right. The people and Doctor Shiro Ishii put on a wicked smile as they knew what was coming next.

“Ok, now the rules for this last treatment are really simple. BE THE LAST ONE STANDING!” Everyone didn’t start to move instead they all looked at each other seeing what they would do. One by one they all were nodding at each other.

……..

“What are they doing? Are they deaf in the ear!” Someone in the crowd yelled in a displeased manner.

“Why is there someone carrying a bow, I thought you said only melee weapons?” Another person asked with the same displeased manner.

“This is great!” Grandma said while walking inside the room with an exciting look.

“Indeed this could have not had gone any better as it’s going right now.” Doctor Shiro Ishii was agreeing with the old woman. Leaving the crowd confused.

“Everyone, if you please just look down and see for your own eyes what they’re doing. As for the bow was for this exact situation.” Without saying another word everyone’s gaze went down onto the children that are about to fight to the death wondering without end what Doctor Shiro Ishii was talking about.

……..

Minutes have already passed since everyone discussed in the separate room, while the kids were in the depths of hell in their own isolation room unaware of anything. During this duration of time, no one made a move. All the children face the direction of Sho and Hiroto each just slowly moving to their positions like a tiger watching its pry moving ever so slowly.

“Well this doesn’t look good does it Hiroto. You would think after all these years we would hold some bondage of familiarity. Welp, it’s not like we can account for them to hold any resemblance to their old selves.” Sho only signed, after all these years of pain, and struggles together that the day would come they would have turned their backs onto Sho and Hiroto. Hiroto only shook his head once again.

Sho and Hiroto were placed directly within the corner, this was so they didn’t have to watch their backs and just push forward. But the great flaw of this was that they went into the tree biome, they can be attacked from above and on the ground. Luckily for Sho, he excelled in archery, even though his bow was that of wood with an attached string this was more than enough for him.

“Crack.” A cracking sound went off in the old walls, but it was like a signal for the children to start.

Besides, Sho and Hiroto there were 46 kids that were all targeting them, how was this not a disadvantage.

“Get ready Hiroto!” The first barrage was already being sent their way.

Three spears launched through the trees onto their position, Hiroto was the first one to act, running directly toward the spears. He weaved to his right making the first and second spear miss the mark. The third spear was directly aimed at Sho.

Sho dug his foot to the right side of the corner wall levering himself up, to then put his left foot on the left side corner. Repeating this progress until the three spears hit the wall, however, Sho was already past the point of their original mark. He is only nine-years old and hitting such a small frame from the position of the trees was already remarkable. Saying this he really didn’t have to go too far above the wall to miss the spears. However, the spears created a great standing spot for Sho as they were impaled into the wall.

Sliding down the wall landing on two of the spears pointed his bow into the forest and shot his first arrow off.

“Blop..”

Within seconds the first body hit the floor, an arrow shot straight into the heart, a quick death. The distance was three trees down, his corpse lay in the field of trees adding to the decoration of grass sticking out like a sore thumb.

Sho rests the bow on his back with the string going across his chest. His arrow’s tucked bottom down into his pants, and the arrowhead was pointed upward into his shirt. The bow was tight enough around Sho to secure the arrows onto his body not making any wiggle room.

The closest tree branch was just a foot away using all his strength he hopped onto it grabbing it with his little hands and levering himself up to a sitting position. Once again, he raised his bow and watched as Hiroto went after his fellow classmates.

“Don’t worry I’ll watch your back,” Sho said to himself while raising his bow and shooting.

……..

Hiroto kept running at the position where the three spears were thrown, seeing seven people standing on the bright green grass open with surrounding trees, and one dead person on the ground with the arrow in his chest.

The seven look hardly composed, some of them tied cloth to bond their sword and hand together to hold their weapon. Others seem as if they wearing rags rather than clothes; however, making them look hardly composed was the brimming injuries each one of them had.

‘Advantage position in the dens trees creating an almost circler gap.’ Hiroto thought to himself.

This could already be seen as a trap, for they were holding their position instead of charging Hiroto, but Hiroto didn’t give it a second thought going straight into the tiger den.

The kids waited until Hiroto stepped into the gap, lunching their attack, in a swift unison move, they all rushed at Hiroto as their very fiber resembling a hungry wolf.

Hiroto raised his left hand to the closest person that was afoot away.

Following behind him were six other people holding a sword within their hand and a shield in the left that reached to their ankles from their chest. Charging Hiroto the kids were twisting and turning to keep inching the gap between them.

Running at full speed, Hiroto got to 3 feet from the closest kid. Flicking his left wrist and sent the first puncture needle flying.

“Blop” The kid hits the ground with a glimmer coming from his head right in the middle between the eyes.

Getting hit by the puncture needle the kid fell over dead before realizing what happened to him. The other kids ran around or on his dead corpse, still leading the charge on Hiroto.

In a swift action one of the kids in the middle back threw a knife directly pointing toward Hiroto’s chest avoiding all the other kids who were running zigzags in front of him. Hiroto bent his back and made a V-shape with his index, middle finger catching the knife, to complete it with somersault backward, throwing the knife mid-flip.

Hitting the kid leading the group in the leg made a brief pause disrupting their formation as he lost the mobility to move his leg. The hamstrings that are long muscles that extend down the back of the thigh. Because hamstrings work to pull back the leg and bend the knee, with the knife implied the kid lost all mobility to move it.

However, what were theses’ kids could such a pity injury stop him from moving? Even if briefly, he moved down with the hand holding the shield covering his body and began to remove the knife. This will at least give him some mobility even if briefly.

However, this only gave Hiroto a leading chance, running to the shield he gathered all the muscles his thighs would possibly afford jumping through the air with the shield being the original jumping start.

“Whoosh”

Three kids swung their sword cutting the air hitting nothing, but briefly froze watching Hiroto jump behind them.

Hiroto, flipped his body while jumping off the shield, nearly grazed by the sword. He reached down his arms firmly grasping onto the kid’s jaw. His feet landed on the floor and with all his might pulled his arms fully in front of his right shoulder.

“POPPPP” Hiroto released his grip as the kid fell limp to the floor. The five other emotionless kids are now in range to swing their bright untouched weapons.

Hiroto’s eyes led him to a tall kid swinging his sword straight down over his head toward Hiroto’s left side neck. His leg looked rotten and untrod; pieces of rags covering his body looked they would fall apart with too much movement. Underneath another sword came piercing right below the tall kids’ armpit. He was coming straight for Hiroto’s right side of his stomach.

The short stubby kid leading his sword under the tall kid’s armpit resembled in the manner that his left shoulder looked busted up, almost as if it’s been stabbed or torn through by a blunt weapon. Although it seems to be treated, the ample missing flesh and muscle left the short stubby kid to mostly pull straight to a stabbing position from his right arm.

While the three other kids were spacing themselves around Hiroto to cut off any path of escaping.

He was trapped, either from his right or left. Hiroto was going to be attacked from either side, and his back would soon be replaced with a sword gashing through him from the three kids cutting off his escape.

……..

Sho from the tree branch pulled back his bow, ready to shoot; however, he quickly grew worried that he wouldn’t have enough time to shoot no matter how he thought about it. A drop of sweat rolled down Sho’s forehead, but his eyes opened up wide in shock before releasing his arrow. He then quickly fired his arrow, hitting one of the three kids.

Sho couldn’t help but think that Hiroto made the situation that he was in look like child’s play. Sho retreated his bow once more, shooting another arrow in the trees. Watching as a kid fell to the floor with an arrow as his new body part.

‘If I’m no use in close range, I’ll help in the far battle.’ Sho whispered to himself while consistently moving around in the forest, never staying in one spot too long.

……..

He was trapped, either from his right or left. Hiroto was going to be attacked from either side, and his back would soon be replaced with a sword gashing through him from the three kids cutting off his escape.

Hiroto made his body lose, falling to the floor. While doing so, he took his pencil knife and parried the sword in the stabbing position. The parried made Hiroto fall to his left side; however, what’s a sword to a knife with a width and length of a pencil. It couldn’t stand the friction halfway through the parry.

“POP”
