Chapter 7: I’ll be right there!

Taking two steps forward, the spear was located right above Sho’s head while the steel tip was barely behind him. He uncrossed his arms with enough force for the wooden bow to release its restrain away from the wooden shaft; the scrawny kid couldn’t help but follow the direction of the wooden shaft into the sky. The scrawny kid bent his back and planted the bottom of the shaft into the floor to relieve force, trying to gain control again.

Freedom to move his bow once more, he angled it toward his waist.

“Bushhhs”

The two swords met at the end of the wooden bow in less than a second, and the concentration of wood was thin. When the connection was made between the wooden bow, Sho swiftly once again twisted with all his might. Having traction, and trajectory moved from the two swords altered enough so that the finishing swing was not lethal after breaking the wooden bow.

However, both swords made contact with Sho. One sword went through the left side of his stomach, hitting an arrow tucked into his shorts, absorbing some of the shocks. However, the arrow broke, causing it to snap in half, attaching parts of itself to Sho’s left stomach. The second sword sliced through the upper part of his thigh, cutting the first layer of his skin.

Sho showed a slight reaction over the two cuts as the blood warmed his stomach and thigh.

“blosh”

Toyo Hirano’s body got impelled by the sudden spear and had no way to change her angle with the air. She tried hitting it away; however, it was levered into the ground with the boy’s weight holding it down.

Toyo Hirano warm blood dropped over Sho, quickly snapping him out of his pain. Toyo Hirano’s body fell limp onto Sho, while her two curved swords fell lifelessly to the ground. Her body made a complete stop, not being fully able to reach the ground because of the spear impelled into her holding her up.

The hit from Toyo Hirano’s lifeless corpse shocked Sho, resulting in him falling to the ground.

‘Me and Hiroto, we’re both in the same position.’ Sho couldn’t help but smirk over this ironic comment.

The remaining two kids’ swords go for stabbing motion toward Sho for the finishing kill. Yet, Sho’s only tool toward blocking the two swords was completely destroyed by their first attack.

A wooden arrow wouldn’t block a sword, and he can’t even get into a position to grab more even if he wanted to.

A sense of death bubbled throughout Sho’s back. ‘So this is how I die?’

“Whoosh”

Two combat knives flew through the air, hitting both of the kids holding the swords. Not being able to complete their attack, they both fell limp over Toyo Hirano, giving her corpse enough mass to fully fall onto Sho.

Three bodies stacked on top of Sho, he tried moving his body, yet the overwhelming weight compared to his; left him immobile.

The scrawny kid already gave up on his spear when Toyo Hirano’s got impelled. Instead, he was standing ideally by watching his companions die, showing no reaction; however, unlike them, he didn’t continue his attack on Sho. Rather, he kept still with his breathing quiet, nor moving an inch. Just directly staring at Sho for further commands.

Sen seating on a tree branch, quickly got to his feet watching Toyo Hirano getting impelled, while trapping Sho beneath. Sho confined to the ground struggling enough to moves around, Sen was not going to waste this chance. He kicked his foot off the branch, falling faster down then few bark pieces breaking away from his force of muscle.

The three other people located in the trees acted a couple of seconds after Sen abrupt movement. However, while following Sen the three kids were given the notice to join the fight rather than being spectators.

Two of the three kids threw their combat knives toward the kids holding swords going for the kill. The mission is to capture Sho alive, and they will do everything to complete the mission, killing, suicide, sacrifice, and so on. Killing their own teammates was as easy enough as turning their hand to the other side.

Afterwards the two kids holding only ropes in their hands jumped into the dog pile with Sho. Digging through the multiple corpses, one went for the feet, rapping them in a fast motion, barely giving Sho any time to resist, especially with the additional weight on top of him. The second kid went for the hands, first finding the right-hand he begun tying a loop around it afterward his next target was the left. For what she thinks is Sho left hand mixed with the corpses she began additional knot.

“Shuck”

The arrow that rests in Sho hand went in a stabbing manner directly for the girl eye, digging through to the brain. It was instant death making four lifeless bodies laid on top of Sho, he was now finding it hard to breath with so much pressure on him.

Sen finally approached Sho taking his tied feet and dragging him from with under the bodies freeing him from the entrapment with his belly pointing toward the ground. Sho was introduced to the sudden air filling his lungs; yet it felt refreshing to have the inability to breath normally once more.

However, it didn’t last long as Sen jumped onto Sho back and with his rope in his hands he reached toward Sho left hand.

What can Sho do? He just lost his only weapon at his dispose. Sen was practically a top-level assassin, while Sho focused more onto further range weapons.

Sen in an incredible speed tied Sho hands together, while making his legs immoveable. “Welp, I guess a simple thing such as let me go please, wouldn’t work.”

Sen ignored Sho remark, but rather took Sho remaining arrows within his shirt, leaving Sho with nothing to work with.

‘I feel so helpless, if Hiroto were in this situation he would be able to get out of it somehow, but how?’ Sho thought to himself, realizing that unless he gets help, he accounted out of the fight.

Sho further thought onto it and his face started to feel warm, and his eyes almost started to feel misty. ‘What am I feeling?’

Sho put pressured onto the ropes testing their durability; however, like he thought he was completely restraint. Yet, he didn’t give up, rather his face started to feel hotter, and his body was bursting with energy. His eyes felt heavy, while his face almost shaped into a frown.

‘Damn it! Why, what have I done for my life to hate me! If I survive from today get out from these restrains, I promise I will never feel this weak ever again!’ Sho finally realized his feelings, it was hate. Hate that he was put in this situation, hate that he now couldn’t help Hiroto. Hate that this is the extent of what he can do.

“Torture him.” Ken finally said something, his voice still hasn’t matured yet still being squeaky, but he held zero emotion that a normal kid would have. Even though his voice hasn’t matured yet it was rather monotone.

Sen dragging Sho across the ground came to a halt taking his knife out. Afterwards grabbing Sho right hand pointing his blade between fingernails and skin he begun.

Sho; however, kept his face the same staring at the ground over his own hatred of his weakness, while his fingernails were in the process of getting ripped off. He didn’t scream, or let a tear out, instead he was treating this as punishment or a reminder of his weakness, and never let something like this happen again.

……..

“Splash”

Blood splatter into the sky, Hiroto stood standing over the final 17 classmate. Hiroto brought his long sword that was more than half his body, to his side barely keeping it off the ground. Any other adult was to hold this sword then it would be quite plain and actually perhaps small, however, the shear length of the sword to Hiroto was most defiantly qualified to be a long sword.

Surrounding him 24 bodies laid throughout the field of trees, the nature small was ruined by death and blood. The green spotless grass was corrupted turning red the more Hiroto had fought.

“Huff”

“Huff”

Hiroto looked down to assess himself, however drenched in blood so it was hard to tell where his cuts and how server. Relaying on pain wouldn’t be the best way to find out, because his whole body was aching currently.

‘I guess I’ll just find out later.’ Having no way to get rid of the blood and not having any immediate response to address his pain it was just better to figure out when he was safe. He took the remaining of his rags of clothes to his waist to get some air through his lugs better. Scuffing the clothes to his waist practically made it look like he was wearing an oversized jacket on hot summer night.

Hiroto didn’t know any medical practice. Actually, throughout the whole school from the beginning, no one did. Before the escalating of treatments, if they receive an injury, they will go to the medical staff and oversee their treatment.

Hiroto finally caught his breath, but his gut started feeling horrible. Thinking further, it’s been a while since he heard Sho’s arrows, and before he even started to fight, he already knew that everyone who fought him had a disability in some shape or form.

It didn’t take long before his assumption, to be correct, a scrawny boy walking through the small forest came towards Hiroto. Holding nothing within his hands, if anything, it looked like he came unarmed. Hiroto straightens his poster pointing the long sword toward the boy. He looked shorter than Hiroto, with cuts filling his body; however, unlike the previous people, he didn’t seem injured.

“Hiroto, I mean you no harm. I just came to inform you. Do not harm me before you let me talk!” The boy spoke as loud as possible when walking toward Hiroto. Wearing no shoes, he stepped over the bodies, blood, and corrupted grass, witnessing the battle Hiroto fought to stand where he’s at.

“Speak.” Hiroto voice came out monotone, but the boy knew the meaning behind it. He stopped 20 feet away.

“We have Sho, and if you don’t follow me, he will die. He will die if you don’t let me return within 10 minutes. The moment they see you and if I’m not standing next to you, he will die. I’ll give you a minute to think of your choice, that should be a good amount. Of course, the minute will be accounted for during the 10 minutes.” The nameless boy watched Hiroto standing there, it took him perhaps two seconds for Hiroto to drop his sword and walk toward the scrawny nameless boy.

“I’m glad! You made the right choice.” The boy turned around and began to walk back into the forest with Hiroto following right beside him.

The scrawny boy would occasionally look over at Hiroto and notice that he was perhaps lost in thought. He was looking around hardly paying attention toward the nameless scrawny boy, ‘Does Hiroto think much.’

The boy thought about streaking a conversation even if minor perhaps to keep Hiroto from planning anything, however; he quickly shot that idea away. ‘Hiroto never really was the talking type now that I think about it.’

“I-” Right when he was about to speak, like he forgot to breath. The scrawny boy back felt bubble as a horrible cold sweat began to break out from his body as the most horrific voice came from his side. ‘What’s this feeling?’

“I found you.” Like he herd the devils speak he quickly turned to his side throwing a fist in a attempt to put up a resist.

‘It’s getting dark, what happened to the lights?’ The nameless scrawny boy felt the right side of his neck get warm. He subconsciously put his hand to feel it. His body felt light and came toppling down to the ground. ‘Was that a knife? Where did he get a knife from?’
